Rolling Deal at Walgreens - confirmed!

Normally when you are dealing with Walgreens, you can't use a register reward from product A to turn around and purchase another product A and expect another register reward to print.  You have to purchase product B, then use the RR from product B to turn around and purchase product A again.  So, when you have a deal confirmed to be rolling at Walgreens, it doesn't always last.  They catch on eventually and will change it come mid-week.  So, try this one asap!

Use the $3 RR that prints to turn around and purchase another Shick Hydro Shave Gel
Lather, Rinse, Repeat

This makes for FREE shave gel.  But, be careful!  Since the RR prints for $3 and the item only sells for $2.99, you will have to have another item to be able to place this purchase!!  Find a cheap item like clearance pencils, or even purchase something else on sale.  Just make sure your total is over the $3 RR you are paying with :)

Who Is Southern Savers?

So, I have something to confess: I have no idea what I am doing!! Ok, well I do, but I have no organization to it. I have a million things to teach you, tell you, share with you, but no manner of organizing it. So, you have to just read everything until I do!!

I do want to share with you one of my favorite websites for deals. A mom named Jenny at www.SouthernSavers.com has the absolute best list-making blog I have found.  She spends hours and hours and hours doing just what I don't want to have to do!  BUT, she saves ME hours and hours and hours and hours (Thanks Jenny :)  So, please take a visit there.  She has some wonderful getting started tutorials, coupon policies, shopping lists, and store deals.

First, it should be noted that I am a BzzAgent.  If you have no idea what that is, you should check it out here!  Being a BzzAgent amounts to Word of Mouth advertising.  Companies give you products to try, in hopes that you will share the experience, coupons and products with friends.  It's a lot cheaper than running an ad campaign, right??  For instance, right now I have 2 free bags of Starbucks coffee in my house to try and talk about.  I mean, who doesn't want free coffee, and who doesn't talk about coffee???

There are a lot of companies out there that claim to pay you for a million things.  Many are scams, and I will do my best to NEVER give you information that you can't rely on.

That being said, there is a company that I SWEAR by. It's called Ebates.  They are a site with hundreds of online retailers.  We use The Children's Place, Eastbay, Nike...you name it, it's there.  Anyway, they give you all of the current promotional codes and discounts available.  PLUS, you get a percentage back from your purchase.

For signing up here they will give you a $5.00 credit to your account right off the bat.  They send cold hard cash (ok, a check really) and you don't have to have some crazy amount in your account.  The checks come on a regular schedule regardless.

REALLY Cheap Highlighters at Walgreens

If you use highlighters half as much as we do in our family this is an AWESOME score!

Walgreens has a sale right now for Pilot Erasable Frixion Highlighters 3 pack or a 2 pack of Gel Pens.  They are normally $4.19 at my Walgreens.  They are on sale for $1.19, but it gets better!  If you pick up the coupon book at the front of the store, there is a $1.00 off coupon.  So, you get a 3 pack of highlighters or 2 pack of gel pens for $0.19!!

Some are suggesting these make good filler items, but buyer beware.  The store coupon is ringing up as a mfg coupon.  So, chances are it isn't going to work as a filler for you.
